Referring to the statement made by Prof. Maurice KAMTO of April 03, 2020 that launched the popular and non-partisan initiative #Survie_Cameroun_Survival_Initiative #SCSI, for the purpose of combating the multifaceted harmful effects of the coronavirus #COVID19 in our country, I hereby inform the public that I have accepted to chair the SCSI Management Committee.
In order to interrupt the contamination chain of this virus, our first actions will prioritize the local manufacture and distribution of masks and hydroalcoholic solutions.
I would like to thank all the donors and assure them that everything is being done to achieve the main objectives assigned to this operation.
In view of the urgency of the situation, I would like to commend the diligence of the administrations to facilitate the unprecedented dynamic of solidarity shown by Cameroonians from all over the world and from all walks of life to help their compatriots affected or likely to be by this pandemic.
The public will be regularly informed on the progress of activities.
