Two enquiries conducted by the Camerounese Government did establish unequivocally that Ayah Paul Abine was chosen as the paramount traditional ruler of Akwaya town by five of seven king-makers with one absentee and one abstention on July 30, 1998, and duly enthroned. The very government purported to dethrone Ayah a few years back, and corruptly chose some bastard passing for a pastor, a certain Akpe Valentine Odevo…

The import of the above paragraph is simply an illustration of how the government has “enthroned” sycophants in several communities who do fight against the very communities they claim to rule. It would be recalled that, a few weeks back, I did post that the said Akpe Valentine Odevo gave to the military a list of persons in Akwaya town to be shot and killed on sight. That did not go unnoticed by other illegitimate/sycophantic “chiefs” and other murderers.

The story goes that the chief of Nyang village (Akwaya) did establish his own list of such persons. Unknown to him, the victims got wind of it. As he was on his way to Mamfe to hand over the list to the killers, some youth gave chase. When they caught up with him and demanded that he surrender the list, the chief put up violent resistance. Availing themselves of the right of pre-emption, they killed the chief and dumped the corpse in the nearby bush. It was discovered only five days later…

We wish to point out here that the information is yet to be verified… What is crucially pertinent though is that those for and/or encouraging the infliction of punishment without mercy on “secessionnistes” may wish to take note that anyone can be branded “secessionniste” by anyone else; and the suspect is murdered without a hearing. We cannot count how many innocent persons are so killed since that word “secessionniste” is not written on anyone’s forehead.

Conspirators of and accomplices to any such summary execution may wish to take note that they may not escape punishment – temporal or divine. The present goings-on may not be more than just ephemeral victory!
